From redwingsbaseball.com/Milb.com: Brennan King's RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning gave Ottawa a 3-2 win over Rochester on Sunday. Trent Oeltjen had two hits and an RBI for the Red Wings (53-48).
With the score tied, 2-2, Chris Roberson led off the decisive frame with a single, advanced to second on Joe Thurston's sacrifice and stole third. After Brad Baker (0-1) intentionally walked Gary Burnham, King singled to left field, plating Roberson.
The Lynx (40-59) had tied the game in the seventh against Carmen Cali, when Roberson's groundout plated Dusty Wathan.
Brian Sanches (2-2) scattered three hits and fanned one in two scoreless innings to pick up the win. Ottawa starter Matt Childers allowed one run on three hits and two walks with two strikeouts over six frames.
Baker yielded one run on two hits, striking out one and walking one while recording two outs. Rochester starter Kevin Slowey, gave up a run on four hits and a walk while striking out six in six innings.
Doug Deeds, Tommy Watkins and Denard Span each had two hits for Rochester.
NOTES: Class A Ft. Myers (Florida State League) infielder Brian Dinkelman is the Twins Minor League Player of the Week for July 14-20...Dinkelman, 23, hit .407 with two home runs, six rbi, four walks and scored 10 runs in six games...he had a .484 on-base percentage and a .704 slugging percentage...he was the Twins eighth round selection in the 2006 First-Year Player draft. Dinkelman extended his hitting streak to 14 Sunday in a 13-4 Ft. Myers win over Sarasota...Twins OF Rondell White had three hits and an RBI in a rehab start for the Twins' Rookie level Gulf Coast League club Sunday afternoon....Twins C.Joe Mauer connected for his first career inside-the-park home run in the eighth inning Saturday night...Mauer became the first Twins player to hit one since Torii Hunter on July 26, 2001 at Oakland and the first Twins player to hit one at the Metrodome since Chad Moeller on July 29, 2000 vs. NYY...he became the first catcher to hit one since Kelly Stinnett (with the D-Backs) at San Diego on August 25, 2005...the inside-the-park home run was the 48th in Twins history.

From rockcats.com: Trenton scored five runs in the top of the ninth to break a tie game and go on to down the Rock Cats 7-2 on Sunday afternoon.
Reliever Tim Lahey came on in the top of the ninth. The first two batters he faced reached on errors and he intentionally walked the bases loaded. Lahey (7-3) then walked Colin Curtis for the eventual game-winning run. Trenton’s Juan Miranda then cleared the bases with a three-run double. Lahey’s wild pitch put Miranda on third before he scored on an RBI single by Matt Carson. Lahey was charged with five unearned runs on three hits and two walks.
Oswaldo Sosa made his Double-A debut for the Rock Cats. The 21-year-old prospect cruised through the first two innings. He retired the first seven batters he faced before allowing a one-out single to Aarom Baldiris in the third inning. Gabriel Lopez followed with another single. With two outs, Alberto Gonzalez lined a single to left field that scored Baldiris for a 1-0 Thunder lead. Gonzalez was thrown out at second trying to stretch the hit into a double to end the inning.
Gonzalez (3-for-4) added an RBI double in the fifth inning to put the Thunder ahead, 2-0.
Trenton’s Ian Kennedy shutout the ‘Cats through five innings, but then struggled with control in the sixth. Kennedy hit leadoff batter Brandon Roberts with a pitch and then walked Trevor Plouffe. Kennedy was removed for Michael Gardner, who allowed a single to Garrett Guzman. Matt Moses delivered an RBI single to score Roberts and cut the Thunder lead in half, 2-1. Felix Molina then popped out to third base in foul territory. On a heads-up play, Plouffe tagged up and scored from third to tie the game.
Kennedy was charged with two runs and three hits. He struck out six. Scott Patterson (3-1) picked up the win in relief.
Sosa lasted five innings, surrendering eight hits and two runs. He struck out three. The Venezuelan native showed poise in the fifth inning when he allowed four hits but went on to strike out Juan Miranda with the bases loaded to end the inning. J.P. Martinez and Jose Mijares combined for three shutout innings in relief.

From miraclebaseball.com: A Sunday afternoon ball game at Hammond Stadium saw the Fort Myers Miracle score eight runs in the third, five in the fifth cruising to a 13-4 blowout of the Sarasota Reds. The Miracle sent a dozen hitters to the plate in the third and another 10 in the fifth earning the series-split against the Reds.
The Miracle third began with back-to-back walks issued to Luis Ugueto and Dwayne White. Brian Dinkelman followed with a RBI-single to extend his hit-streak to 14 and give the Miracle 1-0 lead. Juan Portes would be drilled with the bases-loaded to pick up the second-RBI before a two-run double from Erik Lis and a pair of RBI-singles from Danny Valencia and White capped off the first big frame.
Sarasota would respond with three of their four runs in the fourth as Justin Tordi roped a one-out double to right scoring Tonys Gutierrez and Miguel Perez for the first pair of runs. Gerardo Cabrera quickly followed with a run-scoring single to left reducing the Reds deficit to five.
An error, passed ball and wild pitch helped out in the Miracle fifth. Edward Ovalle led off with a double to right and later scored on Jeff Christy’s RBI-single to center. Steve Tolleson and Lis each picked up a RBI-single in the inning after Dinkelman kept the inning alive by reaching on an error.
The final Reds run came in the seventh as Danny Dorn picked up a RBI-single. The run, charged to reliever Adam Hawes, turned out to be unearned. Hawes went 4.1 innings out of the bullpen Sunday, allowing the one run on six hits in the win.
A three-game road trip for the Miracle will begin on Monday in Lakeland. Game one of the series against the Flying Tigers will see RHP Jeff Manship (4-1, 2.90) take the hill for the Miracle. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.

From snappersbaseball.com: Four runs in the last three innings by the Loons proved to be the deciding factor in Great Lakes’ 6-4 win over the Snappers. Jesus Carnevales pitched two thirds of an inning and allowed two runs to pick up his fourth loss of the season.
Great Lakes struck first in the top of the first inning. The Loons scored two runs off of four hits and two errors by the Snappers. James Peterson and Carlos Santana delivered the RBI singles to give the Loons a 2-0 advantage after one.
The Snappers managed to tie the game in the bottom of the fourth inning on sacrifice flies from Danny Santiesteban and Yancarlos Ortiz.
Beloit then took the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning with two more runs. Newcomer Ben Petsch led the inning off with a triple to center and was then driven home off the bat of Danny Berg. Berg singled to left-center field. After a single from Eli Tintor, first baseman Matt Betsill doubled home Danny Berg from second. Betsill’s RBI double gave the Snappers a 4-2 lead.
The Loons then scored a run in the top of the seventh and a run in the top of the eighth off of the Snappers’ bullpen to tie the game at 4-4. Great Lakes eventually took the lead in the top of the ninth inning with two runs off of relievers Jesus Carnevales and Danny Vais.
The Snappers were unable to get anything going in the bottom half of the ninth as they went on drop game two of the four game series with the Loons, 6-4. The loss drops Beloit’s second half record to 16-12.

From MiLB.com: Matthew Tucker and Jason White homered and combined for five RBIs to power Bluefield past host Elizabethton, 8-4, on Sunday.
White slugged a two-run shot, his first, in the second inning and Tucker belted a three-run blast, his fourth, in the ninth.
The Orioles (17-16) scored three times without getting a hit in the sixth. Tucker came home on a throwing error, White scored on a wild pitch and Pedro Silveren was balked home.
Bluefield starter Stephen Procner (2-0) surrendered two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out one over five innings.
Deibinson Romero went 3-for-5 with an RBI single in the first and a two-run double in the ninth for the Twins (24-7), who had their five-game winning streak snapped.
Elizabethton reliever Spencer Steedley (1-1) allowed two unearned runs on two hits and three walks with four strikeouts in three frames. Starter Steven Hirschfeld surrendered two runs on three hits and a walk while fanning one in two innings.

GCL Twins 3 at GCL Red Sox 5

Santos Arias gave up a home run to Engel Beltre in the 4th inning that allowed the GCL Red Sox to slip by the GCL Twins 5-3 at the City of Palms Complex in Fort Myers Sunday.
The Sox also tacked on an insurance run in the fifth on a contested play that resulted in a warning issued to each side after a rather lengthy discussion by the umpires. The game started out on a contested call however, when Rondell White double a ball down the left field line that was foul, but which the umpire declaired fair. White would come home on Danny Rams' single one out later to put the Twins on the board.
Boston took the run back in the bottom of the second, when Beltre doubled a ball through a hole in Ramon Santana's glove and came home on a Chih-Hsiang Huang sac fly.
The Twins scored two more in the top of the 3rd. Jeanfred Brito singled and Santana hit into what whould have been a double play, but Huang dropped the ball, which delayed the throw enough to allow Santana to reach base safely.
Yangervis Solarte singled to get on board, followed by White, who was 3-for-4 in the contest. White brought in Santana, and Solarte came home when Juan Richardson reached on a throwing error by shortstop Oscar Tejeda.
The Sox tied it back up though when Victor Serrano doubled and came home on a sac-fly. Araias, who was struggling a bit with his control again, balked then threw his second wild pitch of the inning, prompting Nelson Prada to go have a few words with his young pitcher. Mitch Denning singled, moved to second on the balk and to 3rd on the wild pitch. Arias then gave up a single to Tejeda that plated him.
Arias made it through 4.2 innings before he was pulled in favor of Jarrad Eacott. "E" would work 2.1 innings allowing 3 hits, 1 walk and striking out 3. Brito saw a ball go through a hole in his gove in the sixth, but Eacott used a strike out and two grounders to close the inning.
Dominigue Rodgers, a 36th round pick for the Twins in 2007 made his professional debute, starting with a fly-out before throwing 2 strikes for a quick 8th inning.
The Twins were to take on the Orioles Monday at home, but the game was rained out by an early morning storm which also played havoc with the phone and internet lines. The Twins take on the Pirates Wednesday at Pirate City.
