From redwings.com: Rookie Matt Moses went 5-for-5, part of a 20-hit Rochester offensive attack that buried the Buffalo Bisons 13-2 Friday night. With the win, Rochester moved to within one and a half games of first place Buffalo. The Wings finish the two-game set in Buffalo Saturday afternoon, before returning to Frontier Sunday afternoon and Monday night to host the Bisons.
Moses had three singles and a pair of doubles, driving in three runs and scoring three to help the Wings jump out to a 5-1 lead against Bisons starter Jason Stanford after four innings. Garrett Jones and Tommy Watkins homered for Rochester, who also got a four-hit game from Jones and three-hit performances from Denard Span and Matt Tolbert. Tolbert raised his league-leading batting average to .388, while knocking in four runs in the game.
Moses raised his average from .216 to .258, and became the first Wing to have five hits in a game since Jason Bartlett on Aug. 30, 2004 against Pawtucket at Frontier Field.
Rochester starter Jeremy Cummings (3-1) benefitted from the offensive effort, allowing six hits and two runs in six 1/3 innings. Ricky Barrett, Jason Miller and Brian Bass combined for two 2/3 hitless relief innings.
It was the most hits by Rochester in a game since July 21, 2005 when the club had 18 hits in a game at Charlotte..
NOTES: Trent Oeltjen came out of the game after getting hit by a pitch in the fourth inning....Rochester improved to 8-4 on the road...On Friday the Twins placed OF Josh Rabe on the DL (shoulder) and reinstated OF Lew Ford...Infielder Ken Harvey was placed on the disabled list with a sore right knee. Harvey, who had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee during spring training, will head to Florida to continue to rehab the surgically repaired knee. Harvey is out indefinitely....2B Felix Molina extended his hitting streak to 16 games for Double-A New Britain Friday night. OF Andres Torres, a key player on last year's Rochester playoff team, had a 15-game hitting streak snapped last week while playing for Double-A Erie.

RHP Nick Blackburn pitched well in seven innings and Tim Lahey worked two scoreless innings in relief as the Rock Cats won their fifth consecutive game. 2B Felix Molina extended his hitting streak to a new Eastern League high 16 straight games.
The Rock Cats and Trenton play again Saturday night at 7:05 PM.

From miraclebaseball.com: Back-to-back home runs in the first inning by Brevard County on Friday night paced the Manatees to a 4-2 victory over the Fort Myers Miracle at Space Coast Stadium. The Miracle have now lost three straight against the Manatees and will wrap up the road trip on Saturday night.
The Miracle would jump on the board first as Erik Lis kept the inning alive with a two-double to right, his 11th of the season. Juan Portes followed with a triple off the wall in center scoring Lis while coming steps away from an inside-the-park-HR. Portes was thrown out on an 8-4-2 Manatees relay to end the first.
The first of three Miracle errors on the night began the Brevard County first as Alcides Escobar reached on a Steve Tolleson fielding error at second. After retiring Lorenzo Cain on a fly-ball to center, Miracle starter Jay Rainville would give up a two-run blast to Chris Errecart shooting the Manatees to a 2-1 lead. On the very next pitch, catcher Angel Salome sent the baseball approximately 450 feet away over the batter’s eye in center field.
The ball game would stay at 3-1 until Jeff Christy connected on his first dinger of the season, a solo-shot to left, trimming the Manatee lead to 3-2. Brevard County would tack on an insurance run in the eighth as Cain scored from third on a ground out by Salome. Cain was hit by a pitch to begin the frame, moved to second on a stolen base and took third as Christy made his second throwing error of the night on the play.
The Miracle committed three errors on the night while out-hitting the Manatees 8-5. Timely hitting for the Miracle was absent again on Friday night despite four extra base hits. The season long eight-game road trip and four-game series against the Manatees will wrap up at 6 p.m. on Saturday night with RHP Kyle Waldrop (4-1, 2.92) getting the call for the Miracle.
Note: It appears that the Miracle will face down Roger Clemens either Thursday or Friday night at Legends Fields.

Joe Benson was 3-3 with a home run.
